According to Sheboygan County Health and Human Services – Division of Public Health (DPH), the risk for COVID-19 in the State and in Sheboygan County remains low. Sheboygan County DPH is working closely with the State of WI DHS in conjunction with the CDC to ensure appropriate measures are in place to prepare our community for COVID-19 should we see cases. The Sheboygan area is, on the other hand, experiencing an unusually bad flu season and flu related hospitalization rates are at an all time high. Regardless of whether Sheboygan will be faced with local COVID-19 cases, taking measures to avoid spreading illnesses is extremely important for your health and the health of the community. According to the CDC, the spread of the flu, COVID-19, and many other illnesses can be greatly reduced by properly washing your hands for at least 20 seconds.
