Wisconsin Bank & Trust plans to close its downtown Sheboygan branch August 16, pending regulatory approval. Customers of the bank received a letter from the Bank’s , announcing the changes.
In a letter sent to customers of the Bank, CEO Curtis Chrystal provided the four remaining strategically positioned Sheboygan branches as well as the downtown branch being larger than needed as reasons for the decision.
The building previously housed a branch of Community Bank & Trust which merged with Wisconsin Bank and Trust in 2015.
In the letter, Chrystal said the space will be redeveloped.
“We believe in reinvestment and development of the downtown area and have reached an agreement with a purchaser who will redevelop the space.”
The banking center will close at 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2019. Bank officers will be relocated to other branches to continue to service their customers.
