Sheboygan County Releases New Visual COVID19 Data Dashboard

In a press release on Tuesday, April 14, Sheboygan County Division of Public Health announced it will be sharing daily updates to COVID-19 cases via an online visual dashboard. The dashboard has versions accessible for both desktop and mobile.

In the release Health Officer Starrlene Grossman said, “Working in partnership with our mapping experts and IT department, we created the dashboard to create a ‘one stop’ snapshot of the COVID19 data we have here in our community.”

The dashboard will be updated once a day, including weekends, by 3:00pm. Information is gathered from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and through the Wisconsin Electronic Disease Surveillance System. Due to testing criteria, testing supplies and self-isolations there may be people who
have COVID-19 who are not tested. As a result, our data may not represent all cases in Sheboygan County. To protect patient’s privacy data will only be provided on the county level.

The Division of Public Health also reminded community members to continue to monitor themselves for symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat, and self-isolate from others should any develop. They also urged the community to stay home as much as possible in order to save lives.
