John Michael Kohler Arts Center is hosting a family day Saturday, April 20. The free event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
During the event the galleries and lower level studios will feature activities and hands-on projects. Arts Center education staff and docents will be available to answer questions throughout the galleries.
“This is a great opportunity for families to connect with one another, their community, and the Arts Center’s exhibitions,” said Ann Brusky, curator of Public Programs. “Family Day will offer ideas for continuing creativity at home and looking at the world with a new perspective. We hope families walk away with a sense of awe and wonder and a desire to come back often to connect with their Arts Center as there is always something new and unexpected to explore.”
Family Day is open to all ages, but children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult. It takes place after the Arts Center’s annual Eggstravaganza egg-dyeing workshop, which runs from 10:30 a.m. — 12 p.m. the same day. The Eggstravaganza costs $10 in advance, or $15 at the door.
